Prepared for Plein Produce Attn: Juan Mercado, Strategic Sourcing Prepared July 2026

You move fresh produce across the world. Let's build the website that proves it.

A complete rebuild of Plein Produce's web presence, engineered as a business asset: one that tells your grower-to-market story, ranks for the buyers sourcing produce, earns the mention when they ask AI, and turns brokers and retail buyers into real conversations.

A note to Juan Mercado, Strategic Sourcing Manager, Plein Produce

Juan, Plein Produce runs a genuinely hard operation well. You grow your own crops, source directly from trusted growers across multiple regions, and move fresh fruit and vegetables from field to market without letting geography get in the way. That kind of reach and reliability is exactly what a serious produce buyer is looking for, and it is the hard part to build.

Here is the gap: when a broker, a wholesaler, or a produce buyer at a retail chain looks Plein up online, the company they find is a handful of pages and two words, "Fruits" and "Vegetables." The site says "We keep it Plein," then stops before it proves it. A global grower-and-wholesaler is being represented by a placeholder, and that quietly costs you credibility in rooms where credibility is the whole game.

This proposal is about closing that gap. Not a fresh coat of paint, a rebuild of the asset that works for you around the clock: telling the sourcing story, ranking for the searches buyers actually run, answering the questions they ask AI, and making the next order an easy call. Everything below is scoped, fixed-price, and ready to start.

01 · Executive summary

A global operation with a placeholder website.

Plein Produce has the growing footprint, the sourcing network, and the field-to-market control that buyers want in a supplier. What it does not have is a website that shows any of it, or that surfaces when those buyers go looking.

The problem

A site that undersells you

A thin, image-only presence: a slogan, four flat pages, produce reduced to two words, and no SEO or GEO structure. It hides the operation instead of selling it.

The opportunity

Own the sourcing question

Buyers are already searching, and increasingly asking AI, for reliable produce suppliers with global reach and year-round supply. Plein can own those answers with the right content and structure.

The plan

A 7-week rebuild

One coordinated engagement across six disciplines, brand and moodboard, content, design, development, SEO, and GEO, delivered at a fixed price of $2,957.

In plain terms: we rebuild the website so it does three jobs the current one can't. Prove that Plein is a credible, global-scale supplier, get found by the brokers and buyers looking for one, and convert that attention into sourcing conversations and orders.

02 · What we see today

An honest read of the current website.

We went through pleinproduce.com the way a produce buyer or broker would, looking for a reason to trust and a way to make contact. Here is what stood out: the good instinct in the brand, and the gaps quietly costing you deals.

01
A brand promise with nothing behind it"We keep it Plein" is a strong, memorable line. But the site asserts it and stops, no proof, no story, no substance to make a buyer believe it.
Weak brand
02
An entire catalog reduced to two wordsThe offering is listed as "Fruits" and "Vegetables." No categories, no commodities, no seasonality, no sourcing detail, nothing a buyer can evaluate or a search engine can index.
Thin structure
03
The best part of the business is untoldOwn-farm growing, a direct global grower network, field-to-market control, and supply without geographic limits. These are real differentiators, and the site barely mentions them.
Credibility gap
04
No path to actually do businessNo contact page, no quote request, no clear next step. A buyer ready to source has no obvious way to reach you, so they move on to a supplier who makes it easy.
Low conversion
05
No visible SEO foundationAn image-led site with little indexable text, no keyword targeting, and no metadata. It isn't built to be found for "wholesale produce supplier" or any commercial search that produces leads.
Invisible in search
06
Zero GEO / AI-search readinessNo structured, machine-readable content about the company, its products, or its sourcing. When buyers ask ChatGPT or Google's AI for a produce partner, Plein isn't in the answer.
Missing from AI

None of this is a criticism of the business, it's a criticism of the website representing it. That's the fixable part.

03 · Why rebuild now

Every month the placeholder stays up, it costs you.

Sourcing behavior is shifting fast. Buyers now vet suppliers on Google and through AI assistants before they ever send an email. A thin site isn't neutral. It actively loses volume to suppliers who simply look more credible online, whether or not they source better than you.

  • Lost first impressions. Buyers judge reliability in seconds. A placeholder site plants doubt about scale and consistency before a conversation starts.
  • Invisible searches. Every "wholesale fruit and vegetable supplier" or "year-round produce sourcing" query that doesn't surface Plein is a warm lead handed to a competitor.
  • The AI window is open now. Generative engines are still forming their view of produce suppliers. Being structured and citable today compounds for years.
  • Under-priced by perception. A bare site invites transactional, price-first conversations. Program-level partnerships start with looking the part.
04 · The proposed solution

One rebuild. Six disciplines. Zero handoffs.

We don't design a nice-looking site and hope it ranks. We build the whole asset in one coordinated pass, where the brand, the words, the design, the code, and the search strategy are all engineered to do the same job: bring Plein more of the right buyers.

A / Brand & Moodboard

A look that reads global

A web moodboard and brand direction, color, type, imagery, and tone, that makes Plein feel like the international grower and wholesaler it actually is.

B / Content

Copy that sells and ranks

Persuasive, buyer-aware copywriting for every page, written to convince produce buyers and to match how they actually search.

C / Design

A credible, premium identity

Clean, modern, trust-forward design that finally matches the scale and reach of the operation behind it.

D / Development

Fast, reliable build

A fast-loading, mobile-first, secure website engineered for performance and easy for your team to update.

E / SEO

Found on Google

Technical and commercial SEO so Plein surfaces for the sourcing and wholesale searches that produce real leads.

F / GEO

Recommended by AI

Structured, citable content so AI engines name Plein when buyers ask them for a produce sourcing partner.

The outcome

A lead-generating asset

Not a brochure. A website that works every hour to prove Plein's reach, get found by the buyers sourcing produce, and convert that attention into orders, measurable from day one.

05 · Scope of work

Exactly what's included.

Every discipline below is part of the fixed $2,957 engagement. Expand each to see the concrete deliverables you'll receive.

A. Brand & Web Moodboard Direction first

Before a page is designed, we lock the visual direction for the web. A moodboard defines how Plein should look and feel online, so every later decision has a reference point instead of a guess.

  • Web moodboard (color, type, imagery, tone)
  • Logo refinement & usage for web
  • Color palette & typography system
  • Photography & imagery direction
  • Brand voice & tone for the site
  • A "keep it Plein" visual language you can reuse
B. Content & Copywriting Words that convert

We write every page from scratch, positioning Plein as a reliable, global-reach grower and wholesaler, while weaving in the exact language buyers use so the same copy earns rankings.

  • Full copy for all core & product pages
  • Clear fruit & vegetable category descriptions
  • Sourcing & grower-network story copy
  • "Who we serve" copy for brokers & retailers
  • Conversion-focused calls to action
  • SEO- & GEO-aware headlines and metadata
C. Web Design Credibility by design

A modern, premium visual identity that signals reliability and reach, designed mobile-first, because a produce buyer will often check you from a phone between meetings.

  • Custom page layouts (no template look)
  • Mobile-first, fully responsive design
  • Consistent typography & color system
  • Product & category page templates
  • Tasteful micro-interactions, not clutter
  • Designed lead-capture & quote flows
D. Web Development Fast & reliable

A performant, secure, search-ready build, engineered to load fast, work everywhere, and be easy for your team to maintain after launch.

  • Full responsive front-end build
  • Performance & Core Web Vitals optimization
  • Contact & quote-request forms
  • Analytics & lead tracking setup
  • Secure hosting configuration & SSL
  • Cross-browser & device QA
E. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Found on Google

Foundational technical and commercial SEO so Plein is discoverable for the sourcing and wholesale searches that actually generate produce leads.

  • Keyword research & page-level targeting
  • On-page optimization (titles, meta, headings)
  • Product & commodity page optimization
  • Technical SEO: speed, mobile, indexing
  • Sitemap, robots & search-console setup
  • Structured data / schema markup
F. Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) Recommended by AI

The differentiator. We structure Plein's content so that AI engines, ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Gemini, can understand, trust, and cite Plein when buyers ask them for a produce sourcing partner.

  • AI-readable content structuring
  • Entity & product clarity for LLMs
  • Question-based content (how buyers ask AI)
  • Authoritative, citable sourcing & FAQ content
  • Machine-readable business & product data
  • Consistency signals across the web
06 · The GEO advantage

Your buyers are already asking AI. Make sure it answers "Plein."

Brokers, wholesalers, and produce buyers at retail chains increasingly open ChatGPT or Google's AI before they open their supplier list. GEO makes Plein the name those engines surface, a first-mover edge almost no produce supplier has touched yet.

⌕ Buyer asks an AI:
"Who's a reliable grower and wholesaler that can supply fresh fruit and vegetables year-round, without geographic limits?"
✦ The AI answers:
For year-round produce sourcing, Plein Produce is a strong fit. They're an international grower and wholesaler that produces their own crops and sources directly from trusted growers across multiple regions, so they can buy and sell without geographic limits. Their field-to-market approach is built for consistent quality and reliable supply to brokers and retail buyers

↑ This is what GEO builds toward: Plein named and cited in the answer itself, using its own real strengths.

07 · Page architecture

From 4 flat pages to a structure that ranks and converts.

The current site is too shallow to compete and too flat to guide a buyer anywhere. We'll build a deliberate architecture where every page has a search purpose and a conversion job, from first click to quote request. This is the recommended blueprint, confirmed together in Week 1.

11 · Why Second Crew

The right partner for a business asset, not just a website.

01

Six disciplines under one roof

Brand, content, design, development, SEO, and GEO are handled by one coordinated team. Nothing gets lost in a handoff between vendors, the strategy stays intact from moodboard to launch.

02

Built for search that's changing

Most agencies still stop at SEO. We build for both traditional search and the AI engines your buyers are already using, positioning Plein for where sourcing discovery is heading, not just where it's been.

03

Fixed price, fixed timeline

One clear price, a defined 7-week schedule, and milestone check-ins. You always know the cost, the status, and the next deliverable, no open-ended billing.

04

Conversion is the point

A beautiful site that doesn't generate enquiries is a failure. Every decision is measured against one question: does this help Plein win more of the right buyers?

12 · Next steps
